Thank you to those of you who have signed up for Parent Teacher Interviews.  Families are required to log in to My CBE/PowerSchool Account to book an interview time with their child's teacher.

Please take note of the different schedule this week due to Parent Teacher Interviews.
Monday full day
Tuesday full day
Wednesday full day
Thursday done at noon (interviews 4:00-7:00)
Friday no school (interviews 8:00 - noon)

In writing, we have been focusing on the Enhance and Improve part of the Grade 2 writing curriculum.

Revise and edit
- revise words and sentences to improve sequence or add missing information
- check for capital letters, punctuation at the end of sentences and errors in spelling

Enhance legibility
- print legibly and efficiently, forming letters of consistent size and shape, and spacing words appropriately
- use margins and spacing appropriately

Here is a student friendly checklist of what we are focusing on when writing. 

When writing students have access to their word wall.  By the end of grade two students should be able to independently spell all of these words. I have emailed you all a copy of the word wall incase you would like to print it out and use it to practice writing at home. If you did not get the email please email me. 

Today at the end of writing I picked some friends to showcase their work.  We all take turns showing off our work (if we want to, we can always say no thank you).
