We have been learning some fast math facts.

We have also been working with identifying numbers as even or odd. I explain this through the concept of a soccer game.  I ask "are the teams even or odd?"

EVEN because it is fair

 ODD because it is not fair


Today we started making an even and odd monster. 
First, we had to roll the die to see how many legs, eyes, arms, noses and mouths our monster would have. 
Next, we had to identify if our number was even or odd (all students had access to the blue soccer fields and the counters for assistance if needed).
Then, we picked a color for our body and cut it out. 

Monday we will count out our head and begin to build our monsters.
