Today during reading we had Miss. Madalyn and Miss. Addison read us a wonderful story!

Before the lovely ladies started reading we reviewed the 5 reading strategies we have learned so far.  Our job was to listen to the girls reading and think about what strategies they were using. 

After they read we had a class discussion on what strategies we noticed they were using. 

It was then our turn to read independently and think about what strategies we use. 

Please ask students, what strategies do you most often use when you are reading?

Halloween in the classroom

1. please pack costumes in students backpacks

2. please keep masks and accessories at home (I would not want them to get lost)

3. if there is a part of the costume that MUST be done at home i.e. hair dye, a tiny bit of face paint, ect...I will leave that up to parents.  If you would like to do that in the morning please feel free.  If you would like to do it after school for the evening that works too.  Whatever works best for your families schedule.
