Tomorrow is our remembrance day assembly from 10:30 - 11:15am.
Each student will be provided a poppy to wear.
Any student that belongs to a service club (sparks, brownies, guides, CGIT, beavers, cubs, scouts, cadets etc.) is invited to wear their uniforms Friday morning.

As you know we have been exploring the Hot and Cold Science Unit

Prior to discussing how animals are insulated from the cold we focused on how we stay warm and cool during our seasonal changes.

Many students are VERY knowledgeable about how we stay warm during our cold winter season.  It was interesting to discover that it was harder for us to think about how we stay cool during our warmer summer season.

Please feel free to continue this discussion at home.  Ask...

1. What five things did you draw that help you stay warm?
2. What five items did you draw that help you stay cool?
3. Why did you draw that?
4. How does that keep you warm/cool?

Here are some great examples that were shared at the end of the lesson.
