Remembrance Day Assembly 10:30am
Any student that belongs to a service club (sparks, brownies, guides, CGIT, beavers, cubs, scouts, cadets etc.) is invited to wear their uniforms Friday morning.

Thank you very much for dressing for the cold weather!

This cold winter weather we are experiencing ties in perfectly to our Hot & Cold Science Unit.
When we got to school we looked at a picture of a thermometer and located 0.
We know that liquid water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius.

When we realized it was -14 outside with a wind chill of -22 we knew it was VERY cold.

As the sun is shining we did get to go outside and play at lunch.  It is very important that we all have hats and mittens to keep us nice and warm!

Below are some outcomes for our Science: Hot and Cold unit that we discussed and explored today.

1. Describe temperature in relative terms, using expressions, such as hotter than, colder than.
2. Measure temperature in degrees Celsius.
3. Recognize that the human body temperature is relatively constant and that a change in body temperature often signals a change in health.
4. Describe ways in which temperature changes affect us in our daily lives.

Please feel free to carry on Hot and Cold conversations at home!

Ask me about my temperature game we played with Disney characters.
