Please refer to the Calendar page for important dates in December.

Grade 2 & 4 Christmas Concert is Tuesday, December 10th at 5:00pm.

Last week, we collaborated with peers and made insulators.  In our Science Hot & Cold Temperatures unit, students had to design and construct a device to keep something hot or cold.

Today we conducted our Ice Cube Challenge!

- At 11:00 we measured how heavy one ice cube was.  Each ice cube weighed 6 dice.
- At 1:00 we returned to check the weight of the remaining ice.
- We took out the ice (if there was any left) and measured how many dice it weighed.

1st place went to group number 12.
2nd place was a three way tie between group 1, 10, and 11.
3rd place went to group 4.

We discussed how Scientist conduct experiments to learn and make discoveries.
Today we learned that bubble wrap was the best insulator material.
Group 12, 1, 10 and 11 all used bubble wrap in their design.

Here are some photos of the winning insulator.
