This afternoon, in Social Studies we talked about Saskatchewan in the past.
We talked about how a long long time ago people from Europe came over by boat and train to get to Western Canada.
We read the book The New Land on getepic books which taught us how hard it was for families to move here and build a new life on the farm.
After we had a sharing circle to talk about a time we worked very hard at learning something new, or achieve a goal.
Ask your child what they shared with the class!
Here are a few things that students shared:
- learning to turn when skiing
- learning to turn when snowboarding
- learning how to g in the park when skiing
- learning to skate
- learning to stop when skating
- worked hard at writing a comic book
- working hard on skipping backwards
- working hard at swim team
- working hard at practicing how to dive into the water
- many more...
